Buddy Kylie and Lindsey
He blew them out his first try!
Eating cupcakes with buddy Gage.
Giggling with Grandma Jo...these two just adore each other!
What fun it is to have Tara and Linds live so close!
Aunt Tiff was sick - we missed you!
Everyone always says it goes fast, but it's still hard to believe our "baby" is already two! We had a little low-key party to celebrate. We served mac n' cheese, fruit, and bacon--all of Micah's favorites. And cake and cupcakes of course. I'll try to post some videos from his actually birthday and this little gathering soon...
Since before Christmas, two of Micah's favorite sayings have been "What that called?" and "Talk about ___." Both of these are still very popular. And we have many of the same conversations every day - he wants to talk about the doctor, about story time, about MOPS - really anything we've just done or do on a regular basis. He is really inquisitive. He wants to know everyone's name and I'm always impressed by what he remembers long afterwards.
Micah is busy busy busy now. He loves music, cooking in his kitchen, playing with tools, being outside, jumping on his bed, pretending more and more. He has a funny little sense of humor. He finds it hilarious to tell me something is a different color than it actually is. He likes to point at me and say "boy!" with a big smirk on his face. He is quite cautious, timid, and sensitive. He still loves to be held and I often have to really encourage him to do things on his own. "Mama with you" is a common request. He hates going to the doctor and getting his haircut. We moved him to a big boy room about a month ago (equipped with his own full-size mattress on the floor since that's all we had). We are amazed the transition has been so smooth. And since we got back from Michigan he has been sleeping better than ever before...it's hard to believe that was once our biggest struggle!
Two of my favorite quotes from the past few weeks:
[Out of nowhere] "Let's go outside and thank God."
So precious!
[We were on our way to the doctor and the entire drive he is telling me he doesn't like the doctor]
"After doctor, we probably go to haircut place."
That made me laugh out loud! Like we schedule all the things he hates on the same day.
We are so thankful for this sweet boy!
