Teething and other feats

Micah has a lot going on these days! After his first two teeth broke through the gums over Labor Day, he started working on four more top teeth. We can only see two poking through, but outlines of the middle ones are emerging along with some ultra swollen gums. And we're sure glad we can see something because that keeps the hope alive that there is a reason for his constant night waking! This past week was rough, but last night was already a better night. :)

Teething didn't seem to slow the little guy down one bit--last week he learned to sit up, pull himself up, and clap!

He hasn't learned how to do a traditional crawl, but he gets around pretty fast by rolling and army crawling. He LOVES to explore and he's very determined. We are quickly learning about all kinds of dangerous and/or gross items (i.e., dog bowls and endless dirt/dog hair) that exist around our house. We haven't made the switch to the big bathtub yet and we can barely keep him in the baby tub. He almost instantly starts to climb out of it or lunges for the faucet, etc.

He imitates us more and more, makes his own funny sounds and squeals, wrinkles his nose, and puckers his lips and blows. He is SWEET.

Aaron's parents gave us this swing to put up in our backyard. Micah seems to enjoy it--as well as just being outside in general.

Aaron and I celebrated four (!) years of marriage on Friday...though our date celebration ended up being postponed due to Teething Week and utter exhaustion. Lame, we know. But we will go out soon! Maybe I'll even have a photo to post of just the two of us--imagine that! ;-) Four years has gone by so quickly and we feel really blessed.
