Michigan

We just got back from a wonderful trip to Michigan. It was really good to have quality time with my my parents and brother and Em--and enjoy the amazing weather and beautiful beach!! We also got to see most of my extended family at different points during our stay--it was so nice to see all of you. (We only wish we had longer to visit.) The kids did fantastic on the flights and all the driving we did while we were there. Micah had a great time sleeping in Grandma and Grandpa's room every night. Grandma Sue read stories and gave baths. Grandpa Don entertained Micah with yoga (see Aaron and Micah pic above) and other odd jobs.  Micah amazed the grandparents with what a chatterbox he has become since the last time they saw him. And Aaron and I had fun doing some solo things with him while my parents hung out with Leah: kayaking, dune hiking and the beach. Micah LOVED the beach. Especially burying people in the sand. We could have gone there every day and he would have been thrilled.

We also got to see my dear friend Kristen (3 times!) and her sweet family. We love you guys and wish we could hang out all the time!

It was a restful trip for me - great to have a break from work and the never-ending to-do lists at home. Next year I might have to stay for 2 weeks.
