"Camping" at seven months

As of this past Friday, Micah is SEVEN months old. Wow. The time really does fly! We planned to go camping over the weekend with some friends at Lake McConaughy in Nebraska. We decided to rent a cabin because our little guy has enough trouble sleeping in his bed so we thought we'd spare the rest of the campground (and ourselves) his first tent experience. We arrived at the campsite only to discover that our cabin reeked of cigarettes and a few bottles of air freshener...housekeeping went a little overboard trying to cover up the smell and ended up creating a much worse smell. All the other cabins were booked so we scored a hotel room in town. It was pretty late at this point and let me tell you I've never been so excited to stay at a Best Western in all my life! This cut the camping trip short but we made it to the lake before we headed home the next day. :)

Back home the next day.

What he's doing lately:

-Sitting (still a little wobbly, but getting increasingly stable).
-Rolling all over. He has a favorite direction. This suddenly makes our house seem very small...
-Laughing and interacting more and more. Completely aware of everything around him. Turning his head to see who's talking.
-Missing me! We're starting to see separation anxiety.
-Loving baths, "swimming," being outside, singing, everything in his mouth, and grabbing.
