Well, he did it. Dave graduated from Central and we had the pleasure of being there to celebrate with him. We were lucky enough to have a great bleacher seat that just happened to be in line with where he was sitting in the gym (where the ceremony was held). This led to endless entertainment through continuous efforts to get his attention--fanatically waving, giving him a thumbs up, and eventually encouraging him to do some sort of flip/gymnastic manuver when accepting his diploma (the latter much to the disapproval of Mom). To Mom's great relief, he ignored our devious suggestions. A great time was had by all. That night we stayed at a nearby hotel (yes, I still get excited about the idea of swimming and hot tubbing at a Holiday Inn at age 27) and had a lovely brunch the next day. We celebrated birthdays--aunt Carol, cousin Alix, and I all happen to have birthdays May 6 & 7. Then we spent the rest of the day at the Shea household visiting and soaking up the sun.
